Special Chow Mein Takeaway Calories

Although the text is not mine I found interesting so I hope ye be as much as me. I got it from here . The original is written in Catalan, the translation is mine.

Adolescence is a stage of discovery that we can make much of adulthood. In my teaching experience with students of that in Catalonia and in Thailand I have seen great differences in adolescent behavior when dealing with homosexuality. It is true that our society still have still certain macho and Catholic influences that interfere with our learning and discovery of sexuality in a healthy way. I speak not only of the boy or girl who discovers his homoerotic desire, but from classmates and their reactions to this homosexuality.

The mechanism starts peer class when a boy shows opens as effeminate or homosexual in a school in Catalonia is often the alarm, i was immediately condemned the hostility, the latter can be channeled in ways unpleasant (insults, criticism, violence, aggression). In particular, I have lived for a fellow gay student telling me that the guy is half-man half-woman, or directly accusing him of fag-it executed. Then applies a social vacuum in the classroom, perhaps invisible to many, not for him. Drop it is very easy and it seems that teachers can do little. The different boy befriending just a girl and avoiding contact with the other kids. Thus, situations such as changing in locker rooms become very violent and add pressure to the gay student. As defense mechanisms, the child invents a girlfriend to silence his alleged homosexuality. From bad to worse, the boy and refused to itself as gay, and finally just wanted to finish school as soon as possible, hoping that the change entails a less violent. A lot of fears, lies and pressures of this type accompany many boys and girls like this until the end of the ESO.

is also true that each person is different, and that many others go unnoticed in his homosexuality, perhaps ducking under the wing, or the pen under the desk, in view of what they might topple over if they are opened.

The situation, however, teachers often take lightly armed and ill-prepared to deal with such situations. Usually make the mistake of treating homosexual students, not homophobia, as the source of the problem. It is clear that the disease is to empty the different: the fat, ugly, homosexual, high, which has a voice so and so ... Just depending on all the faculty, which is not always mature enough to treat homosexuality as normal homophobia-curable disease as serious, though.

Thailand Experience so far has proved far more rewarding in the same cases. Children are usually displayed openly gay and very young (second from ESO). There, the influences are obviously very different: Buddhism (in its local branch), especially strongly influences the way you act, interact and react. Aggression and violence are virtually nonexistent. Machismo has little power and is not a homophobic gun. Homophobia may exist, but not made public.

effeminate first student in class I wanted to demonstrate his pen when I entered. He laughed loudly, cried and wore glitter on his face, and a bag later discovered it was full of cosmetics. Reflecting the other fellow looked to see his reaction as they would talk among them, or loudly, or who laugh ... but we must see to believe: nothing. No face. No comments. Completely normal.

That day I understood nothing, but over time I learned a few things: judging others is not a common practice among Thais, and less in public. The result is that a gay teen can be displayed publicly released without suffering repression, both inside and outside of school. No easy task to educate our teens on respect, especially when we still live many situations, television shows and comments that criticize the difference. Too widespread practice in our society that mamamos since childhood. This is our disease, which causes homophobia, sexism and many other phobias that suffer daily.

We are in times of social change, thought and civilization. And it is in the direction of respect for the individual-and thus to diversity: all people are different, where we have to work in schools, not only with students but also among teachers.

A hug
