Sense & sensibility 2008.
Looking at my books I found Sense and Sensibility among which I take when you have finished moving. Yes, big changes are still present but there are things I will not change, I keep reading and surround myself with those books that left me feeling good.
Amid so many breastfeeding and diapers (I'm ecological situation to be resolved), I was again enjoying the artistic sensibility and impetuous Marianne and Elinor reasoning and serenity.
otherwise enjoyed this second reading, the first time I did not notice some details and I recreated beautifully both as it is written, there must be that recommended the rereading.
Knowing that the BBC had done a miniseries in 2008 jumped to view it. this miniseries I liked the Ang Lee film of 1995, although I think most people liked the movie more. But I will not fall in many comparisons, each production has its own style.
The miniseries is very true to Jane Austen's work. It consists of three chapters where the sets and costumes are impressive and outstanding performances, I loved the cast chosen but I missed Greg Wise as Willoughby and Alan Rickman as Colonel Brandon. But Hugh Grant was not surprising, Edward Ferrars is shy and unable to break a commitment even if you make life miserable, but Grant is also boring. Dan Stevens for me was better on paper. I like it when instead of declaring Elinor gives him a book of flowers. There are scenes like the fall of Marianne in the cliffs. But I was depressing the cottage where they had to move, so removed in the valley. You may have to explain that this is best reflected the great change that the sisters were with her mother. New to see a sex scene with preambles which of course does not appear in the Jane Austen book, but that implies. Finally
wanted to talk Margarett small in Austen book barely mentioned but in the versions made into movies is much more history and earn her wit and humor.
I just learned that the book Sense and Sensibility makes its 200 anniversary this year, good match for this entry.
