Richard Adrian Dorr, 83, and John Mace, 91, is a New York couple that has no more and no less than 61 Añaza together since 1950. They met at music school in New York Juiliard of which are singing teachers, and among his students are such famous faces as Bette Midler, Vanessa Redgrave and Richardson Nartasha.
Richard and John have joined the campaign that means grabbing all New Yorkers in favor of marriage between same sex. They posted a video along with Freedom To Marry (Freedom to marry), the platform of demands, calling for the legalization of marriage in the state of New York for them to marry because they believe that after 61 years together it is time to marry . As they said, 61 years are more than sufficient to establish that they should have the same rights as others and get married.
They have said very clearly: We are
of New York and after 61 years together we believe we have the right to marry in New York.
hope everything goes well, and soon legalize marriage between same sex in the state of New York. They have no right to consider Richard and John, among many other couples second class citizens. I have the conviction that this will positively and may marry. What do you think? Much encouragement to all New Yorkers, especially those that you visit us from the Big Apple! Freedom to marry! ;)
