COMRADE OF IMAGINARY MAGNITUDE

If timely was the publication of the previous book Takiji Kobayashi (1903-1933), Kanikosen , no less timely is the emergence of this Comrade. This is probably a book more politicized than the previous one, in which the argument is diluted much more in the expression of political ideas of the author but not less interesting. Kobayashi manages to convey in clear and simple life of a political propagandist in a regime that seeks their persecution, detention and annihilation. That is why it might come to brush these pages to remember that not long ago in our country also pursued, stopped and annihilated all those who disagreed with the regime.

This seemingly simple story hides a lot of hardships, many misfortunes and a deep sadness. Most likely the author did not have to resort to imagination to translate them for his life, his death also stain these same experiences. His fighting spirit is needed now that new freedoms tend to dictate the banks and big corporations, lobbyists and the misnamed globalization. We promised freedoms and the welfare state and see how our lives slowly moving in the same direction as Comrade in the same direction as Orwell's 1984. Awareness is what we need, awareness of the future is coming and voices from the past to warn us of it.

Some will accuse this book of propaganda pamphlet. Sure. Some criticism in this respect, or much worse, I read Kanikosen. will always be criticism that social status is threatened, which believes that everything that has the color red is bad. Let them believe it and that the book of the late Comrade Kobayashi Takiji to dictate the path of reflection. Now not so long ago we learned that some books combative as Indignaos of an old man named Stephane Hassel, or another book from another venerable old man as Jose Luis Sampedro and others, called Reacts , intended to prevent the path we are taking .

Read, reflect, that it serves the reading, though some, at times, seems to have forgotten
